Tips To Make Your Bathroom Shower Area Stand Out Over The Others

Posted on

If you are tired of your old, boring bathroom, there are many ways you can really make it stand out. One area in your bathroom that can make a difference is your shower. Below are two tips that can help you get started.

Glass Shower Doors

One of the biggest changes you can make in a bathroom is to install glass shower doors. There are different types of glass doors you can choose from including:

Frameless

Frameless glass shower doors come in direct contact with the wall, which makes them easier to clean. This is because you will not have to worry about corrosion build up on a metal track. You can purchase frameless doors that swing out or swing in. You can choose from different glass thicknesses, and the doors have a watertight seal around them to prevent water leakage.

Framed

Framed glass shower doors generally have composite or aluminum frames that surround the sheets of glass. To give the frames more aesthetic appeal, they can be coated to look like gold, nickel, bronze, or chrome. The frame goes around the entire door, such as the sides, bottom, top, and joints. Magnetic hardware and seals are used around the door to create a watertight seal.

Whatever type of glass shower door you choose; you should hire a professional to install it for you as this is not a DIY project.

High Tech

You are likely already high tech with your smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc., but you can also go high tech in your shower. Three options you have include:

  • Push button shower: Imagine pressing a button on a remote to start your shower before you even get out of bed. The remote has preset programs so you can set the water pressure and temperature so your shower can be ready for you when you step inside it.
  • Wireless speaker: You can rock out while you shower with a wireless speaker shower head. The speaker pairs up with a Bluetooth enabled device, such as your smartphone. The speaker sits inside the shower head and stays attached by a strong magnet. When you finish showering, you can remove the speaker, and take it with you.
  • Make notes: If inspiration strikes you while you are taking a shower, you can write it down on a notepad that hangs on your shower wall. You can leave a love note for your spouse, or make a to-do list. The notepad and pen are completely waterproof.

Follow these tips and you will not mind taking a shower, and may even look forward to it.
